Imagine this: Your guests enter the event. They don’t just see a logo on a roll-up banner—they see an immersive scene. They reach for a high-quality 3D prop in your brand colors, position themselves in front of a dynamically lit wall, and interact with each other, laughing. In that moment, something crucial happens: Your brand shifts from an abstract idea to a physical experience.
Visual elements at events are far more than “pretty decor.” They are the key to perception. We’ll show you why tactile branding works, which psychological mechanisms are behind it, and how we at Pixora Photobooth develop custom solutions that support your marketing goals.
In an increasingly digital world, people long for real experiences. Consumer psychologists confirm that live events have a decisive advantage: multisensory learning. Studies show that emotional connections created through physical interaction lead to significantly better retention.
When we can “touch” a brand, an emotional anchoring is created. The event is not merely consumed, but experienced. For you as a marketing specialist, that means: A guest who has an interactive brand experience on site is statistically much more likely to make a purchase decision later. Props and backdrops are the tools used to build that anchoring.
The UGC effect: your guests as brand ambassadors
The second major lever is user-generated content (UGC). A well-designed backdrop is a content generator. Research results show that UGC is perceived as far more trustworthy than classic brand advertising.
Why do guests share photos? Because they want to feel like part of the experience. But for that to work, the background can’t be random. It has to be optimized for mobile photography:
- High contrast: A strong contrast ratio ensures readability even on small smartphone screens.
- Space requirements: For group photos, we plan for an area of at least 2.5 x 2.5 meters so the brand isn’t blocked by people.
- Emotional triggers: Elements that create awe or joy—such as LED effects or 3D elements—massively increase the likelihood that a photo will be shared on social media.
For your branding to work, props and backdrops must be designed strategically. It’s not enough to place the logo “somewhere.”
Custom props: an extension of your brand
Instead of generic beards and glasses, we focus on objects that carry your campaign. These can be hashtags made of solid acrylic, product replicas, or symbols that represent your brand values.
Backdrops: visual hierarchy and color psychology
Not all backgrounds perform equally well. The human eye often scans spaces and images in Z or F patterns. That’s why, with custom backdrops, we place the primary element (logo or claim) strategically so it lies in the natural line of sight—usually in the upper third.
Colors matter too: complementary contrasts create higher recall than monochrome designs. With LED backdrops, we also ensure the right brightness so your brand shines brilliantly even in bright foyers.

As an agency or company, you need a partner who combines design and technical feasibility. With Pixora Photobooth, you get everything from a single source—coordinated with our systems like the “Multitalent” or the SketchBot.
A frequently underestimated aspect in planning is safety. A large 3D backdrop is essentially a structure and must comply with the relevant standards. In Switzerland, the VKF fire protection regulations are decisive for this. While these are regulated at the cantonal level, they are recognized nationwide as legally binding.
We ensure that all materials used meet these requirements. It should be noted that the European standard EN 13501-1 is in some cases regarded as outdated, which is why we consistently use materials that meet DIN 4102 B1 (flame-retardant). This guarantees you a smooth approval process by the venue or local authorities.
- Trade fairs & pop-up stores: Here, attention is the currency. An “Instagrammable moment” at the booth increases dwell time and generates organic reach.
- Corporate events: Charge the brand emotionally. Employees become proud brand ambassadors when they can present themselves in a high-quality setting.
- Public events & festivals: Here, robustness and visibility matter. We use weather-resistant materials that hold up outdoors as well.
We are more than a rental provider for a classic “photo booth.” We see ourselves as a technology partner for your marketing. The advantage lies in integration: Our props and backdrops are precisely matched to the cameras and lighting systems of our photobooths. This guarantees perfectly lit photos in which your brand always looks its best.

Which materials are best suited for backdrops?
For high-end corporate events, we recommend premium textile printing because it doesn’t create light reflections. For outdoor use, we use weather-resistant materials with UV protection.
Can props be designed individually according to brand guidelines?
Absolutely. We work strictly according to your CI guidelines and use Pantone matching to guarantee color accuracy. Please plan for a lead time of about 4 to 6 weeks.
How long does implementation take?
For tailored end-to-end solutions, we recommend a lead time of 10 to 12 weeks. We are happy to check short-notice requests individually for feasibility.
How is integration into the photo booth systems handled?
We plan the setup so that the backdrop is at the optimal distance from the photobooth. For the entire system, we require an area of about 2.5 x 2.5 meters. Setup by our team is usually completed in about 1 hour.
In a world full of digital stimuli, physical brand experiences are a strategic competitive advantage. With custom props and backdrops, you turn fleeting contacts into lasting memories. Rely on quality, safety, and the professional integration of technology and design.
